I love all forms of film, being a movie buff and all, and that includes the genre of documentary film. So I spent last night, while packing up things for my upcoming weekend move browsing through the docu section on Netflix Streaming, and decided to finish on one that I’d had in my instaque for a while, but never gotten around to watching. So I put it on to give it a watch while I filled my boxes with movies, books, and other assorted whatnots. Well…it was horrid and fantastic at the same time. The documentary is called ‘Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son about his Father’. I won’t give away any of the details about the story or what happens, but I will say this: afterwords, you wish it had never had to be made. Ever. But it packs an emotional punch like I have not felt from a film, documentary or otherwise, in a long time. If you like documentary’s, or just personal stories about people, this is a must watch.

Let this be the one, in the nick of time. For it will save me, and set me free.
